Due to the world-wide pandemic, the BBC Concert Orchestra was unable to travel to Switzerland for the Festival concerts as planned. All the more wonderful then, that the Basel Sinfonietta stepped into the breach for the concerts in Basel, Zürich and Bern. The programme show-cased great works by Grażyna Bacewicz, Ruth Gipps, Cécile Marti, Dorothy Howell and Florence B. Price.
The concerts in Basel and Zürich were live-streamed world-wide; the concert in Bern was recorded by Radio SRF2 Kultur and will be broadcast on 02.09.2021 at 7pm (GMT).
