The world premiere of Thüring Bräm’s baryton trio in the new version for cello took place on 21 June 2015 in the breath-takingly beautiful setting of Schloss Waldegg (SO), Switzerland. The programme brought Joseph Haydn’s classical baryton repertoire into dialogue with Thüring Bräm’s two contemporary works for the instrument, the premiered trio and “Bänisegg” (UA 2011) for baryton solo. The concert was organised in conjunction with an exhibition of instruments in the castle with three barytons made by Kuno Schaub, including the instrument played by Jessica Horsley.
